Cosplay Support & Details

We can't wait to see talented Warriors of Light bring their beloved FFXIV characters to life through cosplay this April. Whether you're attending Fan Festival in a casual costume or have an elaborate get-up to showcase we'd like to share the support we'll be offering to attendees.
Weapon & Prop Inspections
Weapon & prop inspections will take place at a designated location in front of the main hall (Hall C) entrance, after attendees pass through the security screening & bag check. Inspecting and tagging cosplay weapons is a mandatory safety process to ensure that props cannot be mistaken for real weapons and do not pose a danger to attendees.
Designated security personnel will inspect props & weapons for safety and apply a non-permanent tag (such as a zip tie or sticker) to indicate approval. All props and weapon replicas must be inspected, approved, and marked daily before entering the event. Once your prop(s) or weapon(s) has been marked, the tag must always remain visible.
Any props or weapons that fail inspection will not be allowed into the premises. In such an event, we suggest the item be returned to your hotel room or method of transportation. Failure to comply with these policies may lead to ejection from the convention without a refund and potentially involvement of law enforcement. Event staff may confiscate any prop and weapon replicas that are in violation of these guidelines, as determined by Square Enix in its sole discretion.
Safety and Etiquette
When handling a prop or weapon, do not brandish, swing, or point props at individuals, including for photos, without permission.
When wearing a larger costume, be aware of your surroundings and keep caution when maneuvering through large crowds.
When traveling to and from the convention, if possible, it is advisable to keep weapons in a bag to avoid alarming the public or law enforcement.
Be sure to review the latest version of the Fan Festival 2026 in Anaheim Costume Guidelines & Policies, as there have been several updates.
Cosplay Repair Area
We've prepared a cosplay repair area featuring various supplies for minor adjustments or quick fixes that will be in the northwest area of Hall D of the Fan Festival show floor. There will also be private areas for cosplayers to make minor adjustments not in public view. This space is not intended for extensive adjustments, repairs or changing in/out of cosplay. If you have more substantial needs, you should plan to return to your hotel room or another off-site location.
This location will open once the keynote concludes and will close before the piano concert begins.
Below is a list of items we plan to offer to cosplayers on the show floor who need to make repairs on site. We hope providing this information ahead of time can help you decide what is necessary to pack if you are coming from out of town:
Acrylic paints, body paint touch-up kits & brushes/applicators, makeup wipes
Adhesive fastener tape, Velcro strips, double-sided tape, duct tape, fashion tape, rubber bands, and zip ties
Bobby Pins & safety pin assortments

Glamoured to Life - Cosplay Walk
We're excited to have attendees showcase their costumes live on stage once again!
Confirmed Participant Check-ins
Glamoured to Life check-ins for confirmed participants will take place on Thursday, April 23 in the registration area located in Hall E on the lower floor of the Anaheim Convention Center. There will be a sign marking the check-in counter. Those who have already been confirmed to participate via email are not required to be in costume to check in.
Check-in periods will be available at the following times:
Thursday, April 23 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM PDT
Thursday, April 23 from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM PDT
Friday, April 24 from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM PDT **
* At least one member is required to attend check-in to confirm you or your group's ability to participate on stage. It is recommended to designate a representative member ahead of time as only one Walk Ticket will be given for each walk slot.
** In the event of travel delays, we're asking confirmed cosplayers that are unable to make the Thursday check-in times to stop by from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM on Friday, April 24 to receive your Walk Ticket. If there is a line, please stand by and we'll make sure you can receive your Walk Ticket as your application has already been secured. This station will close at 9:00 AM PDT, so please ensure you come by during the designated hour.
Staff will ask for your Check-in # and Character Name to verify your application. Once confirmed, we will provide the individual who checked in a Walk Ticket. This ticket will ensure your entry on stage, so be sure to bring it with you on Friday, April 24 while in costume to participate in the stage show.
On-site Sign-ups
We will offer 10 walk slots on a first come first serve basis at the Glamoured to Life Check-in counter located in the registration area located in Hall E on the lower floor of the Anaheim Convention Center Friday, April 24 to cover participant cancellations.
We anticipate these slots to be filled very quickly, so please review these points if you or your group are intending on applying onsite.
Registration area will open to the public at 7:00 AM on Friday, April 24 and the Glamoured to Life table will open from 8:00 AM. No staff will be present after 9:00 AM PDT.
If applying in a group (max of 8), the entire group must be present when checking in during this time to sign a waiver to walk on stage.
All members must be in costume when applying as these slots are meant to ensure cancellations are filled.
Stage Show
Pre-stage call for Glamoured to Life participants will begin at 4:15 PM on Friday, April 24 near the left side of the Main Stage. Glamoured to Life check-in signage will be present.
Cosplayers participating in the show must bring their Walk Ticket to be permitted into the holding area backstage. If participating in a group, please make sure all group members are present as individuals part of a group that arrive later will not be permitted backstage without the Walk Ticket.
The live Glamoured to Life event is set to begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, April 24. Participants will have approximately 30 seconds to walk the stage, pause and pose, and continue off the stage. Both entrance and exits have ramps, but if additional accessibility accommodations are required, please reach out to NAFanFest26-cosplay@us.square-enix.com ahead of the show or speak to the Glamoured to Life staff during check-in.
